Here are a few I've recently read. Would any of you like to add to the list?
- The Primal Blueprint 21 Day Total Body Transformation by Mark Sisson
This book puts forth a healthy and doable diet and the best exercises to keep you healthy, young and fit. The ideas portrayed in this book are easy to follow, effective and simple to understand. This book helped me get back to doing some sort of exercise every day and finally to cutting those dreaded carbs out of my diet.
- Lifespan - Why We Age and Why We Don't Have To by David Sinclair PhD
This Harvard professor has been voted one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine. His story and research is fascinating and honest. If you need someone to trust when it comes to aging he is your man. Warm, caring and brilliant is his winning combination. My favorite scientist to follow. You may find the science a bit challenging to comprehend but worth it. I've read this book several times in digital as well as the Audible version. Each time I learn so many more new things that I'll probably revisit it again..
- The Longevity Paradox by Steven Gundry MD
This book lays out the argument that only 20,000,000 genes make up our genome. Everything else comes from bacteria making a home in our bodies. Mitochondria is an example. Mitochondria make energy that drives our metabolism. The bacteria that lines our gut keeps us healthy. Even our skin has a microbiome that should not be ignored. The proper biome balance is all connected to reducing inflammation and how treating our bodies with respect toward our microbiome will gives us a longer happier, healthier life. And great skin too!
