The best skincare regime is one based on science. At LONGEVITY we do continuous research into longevity of the skin and how nutritious and repair ingredients work. Weather these products get into the skin depends on their molecular structure and the delivery systems they use in the formulation. Ours is a fluid skincare line. I am always testing and comparing the results seen and felt by my clients and adjusting my product formulations. Share with us what has worked for you and I will share with you my ongoing research.
Ahh, the antI-aging dilemma. I’m just turning 65 and have tried everything. What works the best is a LONGEVITY lifestyle. This not only includes good (consistent) skincare but making the right lifestyle choices concerning diet, exercise, sleep and stress. What has worked best for me and for my clients (regarding products) is:
- A stabilized Vitamin C or other antioxidant serum in the morning to ward off environmental agers.
- The all important daily use of sunscreen which is the biggest environmental ager of all.
- Alternating between an AHAs and Retinol at night to get both top down and bottom up exfoliation. Be careful not to over use AHAs (acids). Chronic overuse of acids can cause subtle inflammation which is pro-aging. But, using an acid correctly means smoother skin, more even pigmentation, softer lines and a better pathway for anti-aging serum to get into your skin.
- Stimulate cell repair with growth factors, peptides, stem cell stimulators and metabolism boosters which work simultaneously with your body’s natural repair that occurs while you sleep. These are more efficacious when incorporated into a serum.
- Include ingredients in all your skincare products that are high in polyphenols (from botanicals) to reduce inflammation.
Skincerely, Elizabeth
